It’s still hot, but thankfully less so than it was during the workweek. Friday’s extreme heat wasn’t just down to the feels-like temperatures, either: Yesterday’s 100°F high broke the high temperature record of 95 at DCA, set back in 2017. This was also the first 100°F+ reading at DCA since Aug. 24, 2024. The same front that brought Friday evening’s severe storms also pulled some cooler temperatures into the D.C. region, leaving Saturday morning temperatures somewhere in the 65-75 range.
