Scotland fans arrive for World Cup, with kilts, passion and respect for all

Soccer fans from around the world are arriving in Massachusetts ahead of the World Cup — though none perhaps with the same flair as Scotland’s. “We’re passionate, and we’ll have a great time, and we’ll respect everything about youse,” said David Wood, who arrived from Edinburgh alongside many Scottish fans Wednesday. The Tartan Army, as Scottish fans are known, touched down at Logan airport and wasted no time making themselves known. “They ran out of beer, that’s my only complaint. Running out of beer on the plane is not great,” said Darren Wilson. Many of these fans stepped off the plane in traditional Scottish kilts but were not prepared for the heat. “It was quite humid when I stepped off the plane.
